International Dash Series 2021
Iowa State University would like to invite you and your school to join us for Innovation Fellows In Training: International Dash Series 2021.
The International Dash Series includes a variety of workshops for students to innovate alongside Iowa State faculty and students, and participate in Iowa State’s Innovation Fellows in Training Program.
As participants, students receive an innovation certificate, a t-shirt, and compete for a chance to win prizes! (International Dash Series 2021 has a total of $37,500 in prizes).

Innovate with Iowa State University students in this social innovation workshop, brought to you by ISU’s Last Mile Project student organization.

Project delivery by: October 21

Who can participate: Senior or rising senior international high school students (anticipated university start date of 2022) with an interest in any area of study
Size of teams: 2–4 students
Prizes: Prizes: $500–$1,000 per winning team
How to register: High School Counselors, Administrators, or Teachers may register their school to participate in the upcoming series.
Registration deadline: September 19
There are no registration/participation fees charged to students or schools.

INNOVATE FOR THE GREATER GOOD
Create a solution for your community
What do innovation, engagement, and initiative have in common? They’re all important skills needed for strong career preparation. You can build these skills and help your community when you join this challenge! Attend this workshop led by Iowa State University faculty to engage in the innovation process and design solutions for our communities.

Who can participate: Community college or university students in any major with an interest in creatively solving problems.
Size of teams: 2-4 students
Prizes: $500–$1,500 per winning team
How to register: Form your student team – one team member fills out the online registration and includes all team member names and a college/university contact (faculty or staff).

What’s bugging you?
So much of the world operates without our awareness, in places and spaces we don’t easily see, feel or think about. But what happens in these tiny worlds influences the entire planet? From pandemics to particles to phytoplankton and pests—learn about how the problems that bug us often start and end within the inner workings of these worlds.

Who can participate: Senior or rising senior international high school students (anticipated university start date of 2022) with interest in biology, genetics, neuroscience, microbiology, life sciences, medicine, bioengineering, ecology, biodiversity, pest management, health, sustainability, invasive species management, pollinator conservation, resistance management, bugs, bacteria, and bioremediation.
